This article guides you through the process of replacing the charging jack on your Spinfire V2 ball machine. To determine the version of your ball machine click here.
A charging jack replacement can be required in any of the following situations:
- The charging jack has broken and falls inside/outside the machine body.
- The wires on the charging jack have gone loose.
- The wires on the charging have come off the plug.
- The plug from the charging jack that connects to the motherboard have the wrong wire configuration.
- The plug from the charging jack that connects to the motherboard has been damaged.
Equipment Needed:
- Phillip head screwdriver
- 6mm nut driver or nose pliers
Step 1: Remove the Control Panel
Step 2: Remove the Purple Body
Step 3: Remove the existing charging jack
- Identify the two screws and two nuts holding the charging jack to the body:
- Remove the nuts using the nut driver/nose pliers and phillip head screwdriver.
- Once the nuts are off, remove the black plastic plate between them and the body:
- You can now take the charging jack off the body along with the screws.
Step 4: Install the new charging jack:
- Place the new charging jack in place of the old one and put the screws through the holes from the outside.
- Install the black plastic plate in the same orientation inside the machine as shown below:
- Install the nuts back on the screws and tighten them using the nut driver/nose pliers and phillip head screwdriver.
Step 4: Install the Purple body back
Step 5: Install the Control panel back
You have now successfully replaced the charged jack. Turn the machine on using your External battery/AC adapter to see if the issue has been fixed. If you have an Internal battery machine, connect the charger to the charging jack and see if the charger led changes to red representing that it is charging the battery.
