We’ve taken the best all-round ball machine and made it even better.
Tennis ball machines are a fantastic way to practice and improve your game, regardless of your skill level. The Spinfire Pro 2 makes it easy to practice a wide range of shots, test yourself with a variety of paces, spins and elevations, and build your mobility and fitness with practice drills.
With a number of improvements over the original version, the Spinfire Pro 2 offers things you’d normally only find on a much more expensive machine. It includes internal movement, 150-ball capacity, an easy-to-use control panel, remote control and fully programmable app with AI Drill Creator all wrapped up in an extremely stylish and compact design.
Key features and benefits
Internal movement
Unlike most ball machines, which change the direction of the ball by moving the whole machine from side to side, the Spinfire Pro 2 moves internally. This allows for faster re-direction and makes shots less predictable. The internal parts are black to further disguise shot direction.
Random modes
With both horizontal and vertical random modes, balls can be delivered across the full width of the singles court with depth variation. The Spinfire Pro 2 can be set to deliver the same trajectory over and over or a variety of random trajectories. ‘Horizontal Random’ can be set to deliver balls across a narrow, medium or wide area. ‘Vertical Random’ delivers short or long balls in a random order. Both ‘Horizontal Random’ and ‘Vertical Random’ can be combined for a very realistic playing pattern.
Automatic Variation
New in 2023 is ‘Automatic Variation’, which can now be set to automatically adjust speed, spin and/or interval as you play for a more varied training session.
Two-line drills
This feature delivers alternating forehands and backhands. It can be set to ‘wide’, ‘medium’ or ‘narrow’ to vary the degree of difficulty. The ‘wide’ setting makes you run from side to side, ‘narrow’ allows you to remain in the middle of the court, while ‘medium’ is between the two. You can also set the timing between each ball.
Extreme topspin and slice capability
Using counter rotating wheels with enhanced traction for consistent ball launching, the Spinfire Pro 2 operates very quietly and can generate maximum topspin and slice if desired.
Extreme lob
Extreme lobs are rare to find in other ball machines on the market, but with 60° elevation, the Spinfire Pro 2 has no trouble serving up realistic lobs for repetitive practice, making them a breeze on game day.
Smartphone App

Remote control

Easy portability

LED Ball Firing Indicator
Just before a ball is fired, an LED light on the front of the machine flashes to signal the upcoming feed. This gives players a clear cue that the next shot is on its way, while also indicating that the machine is about to launch a ball.
Power Options
The Spinfire Pro 2 offers two versatile power configurations to suit your needs: Battery or AC Power.

I got this machine just before Christmas 2022 so I have been using it a while now. I love the features of this ball machine. It does everything I need and want. We even practice in doubles with it. Love that I can actually practice over heads and set nearly anything to random positions, width and depth or just one spot to lock motions into muscle memory or just two particular spots. It is also extremely good feature to have internal ball oscillator so I cannot see where the ball is going to go unlike with other machines where the entire machine rotates into the direction where it will shoot the ball. That is not good because seeing that, users will anticipate where the ball is going to go and can start to run towards that position which does not simulate real life tennis play. This machine simulates the real play where you do not see which direction the ball is going to go, putting the realistic time pressure on the player. The remote controlls every settings of the machine, do not need to walk to the other side of the court to the machine’s settings panel.
To move it about is very easy and also pretty easy to lift it into the boot of the car as it has well positioned handles for lifting. I ordered the external battery option so less weight to lift into the car boot wich I would recommend. Big difference to lift an 18kg or a 24kg machine into the boot. I had a Lobster for many years and as I side note I had issues with it from day one and I also removed the battery from that one and created an external connector for it for this very reason, plus that was even more difficult to lift as no proper integrated lifting handles were designed on it. The designers of the Spinfire Pro 2 machines thought about thes seemingly simple but important features of the machine.
I nearly forgot to mention the pause feature on the remote and when activated, the motors power down not wasting energy while you are getting or giving coaching instructions or getting a sip of water. With next press of the sleep button gets the motors going again and you can remotely start the ball feed again.
There is only one thing that could be improved and that is where the ball feeder stops. Sometimes when you stop the machine it lines up with the ball feeder chute and as you pour balls into the hopper, a ball or two gets into the feeder chute jamming up or rather preventing the machine to start until it is cleared which can be annoying. I would suggest to the developers to implement a position detection and only stop the rotation of the ball feeder when the hole does not align with the feeder chute.
A whish list item would be to be able to program multiple spots to shoot the balls at and their order of execution or randomisation.
Great machine and I would recommend it to everyone.

Bought one with an on-board battery. Awesome machine. Using Spinfire Juice Balls. Slightly heavier than normal balls. Set it up at max top spin and max speed and boy does it work! Great performance machine for drills and the remote works perfectly right from the other side of the court. When testing it the first time, I maxed the elevation and speed and it blew the balls right over the far fence from the opposite side baseline so this little bugger is powerful. Ran it for an hour and a half and battery was still full. Topspin at max is seriously heavy and slice is brilliant and sharp. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Would be perfect if they could supply a clip on lid for the white ball feeder so you could use it as a basket to carry it instead of having to empty it every time after use to out it into a car. But that’s a minor. Great value-for-money unit.

I agree that this machine is expensive comparing by other companies but I bought recently this spinfire pro 2. This is an amazing machine, my improvement was developed so fast. I really recommend to buy it and do not think to buy another machine comparing by this spinfire pro 2.

Based on the advice our Club at Clifton Springs purchased the Spinfire Pro 2 Ball Machine. We selected the external Lithium battery and bought 2 packs of the pressureless balls. We have had it almost a month now and players of all levels and coaches love it ; it is much more versatile and easier to use than an older machine that we have.Â
For beginners, we can set it to deliver the ball gently and just near the service line. The higher level players like the drills with lots of spin on the ball.Â
The instructions are clear and it is easy to set up. The external battery means it is lighter to move and easy to recharge.

For those of you that cant find another to play with, other than a wall, this is by far the next best option. Machine works well enough, but seems to favour one side over the other. Personally i am only using it for horizontal work, as i cannot figure out how to get the random mode to work, balls either all land behind the baseline or in the net, so i have avoided this mode (which was why i chose this model). Still for a great cardio workout for now this is working very well.
