  • This article applies only to v2 Bluetooth machines. To identify whether you have a v1, v2, or v2 Bluetooth machine, please refer to this article here.

What You Need to Know

  • The Spinfire Pro 2 Ball Machine and the Spinfire Padel Ball Machine are mechanically identical.
  • The only visible difference is the control panel labeling:
    • One panel is branded “Pro 2”.
    • The other is branded “Padel”.
  • Both models provide the same functions and features.

How the App Works

  • Both machines connect to the Spinfire App, which allows you to configure and run drills.
  • Inside the app, you can select your preferred sport from the Settings → Sport Mode Type menu.
  • You can choose either:
    • Tennis, or
    • Padel.

What Changes in Sport Mode

  • When you choose Tennis, the app will display a tennis court diagram for positioning drills.
  • When you choose Padel, the app will instead display a padel court diagram.
  • Selecting Padel mode unlocks two extra vertical drills designed specifically for padel training:
    1. Vertical Oscillation (Option 2)
The machine will vary shot elevation between high and low within a configurable range (from 90 to 200). This introduces vertical variation so not all balls come at the same height, more closely mimicking real padel play.
    2. Forehand–Backhand–Smash/Bandeja Cycle (Option 3)
In this mode, the machine fires shots in a repeating sequence: one forehand, one backhand, and then a smash or bandeja. This simulates common padel rally patterns by mixing regular returns with overhead/attack-style shots.

Which Machine Should I Choose?

  • Functionally, both machines are the same and interchangeable.
  • If you primarily play tennis, the Pro 2 control panel may feel more natural.
  • If you are a padel player, the Padel-branded machine may be a better fit.
  • Regardless of your choice, both models can be switched between sports using the app at any time.

Summary

  • No matter which model you own, you have access to both Tennis and Padel training modes.
  • The difference is branding on the control panel, not performance or features.
  • When in Padel mode, you get access to two additional vertical drills: one that oscillates shot height and one that cycles forehand, backhand, and overhead shots repeatedly.
