Difference between a Charger and AC Adaptor.

This article explains the difference between the Charger and the AC Adaptor for your Spinfire ball machine.

The Charger:

The charger is used to charge the battery for your ball machine. It is the same for Internal and External battery machines. It has a green led that changes its colour to red when charging the battery and turns green when the battery is fully charged. The led behaviour is the same on both the standard charger and the fast charger. A charger cannot be used to run the machine. You will need an AC adaptor if you want to run the machine directly from a power socket. If you read the label on the back of the charger you will find OUTPUT = 15v (or 14.6v) 2A (for standard charger) or 5A (for fast charger) written as the power specification.

The AC Adaptor:

The AC adaptor is used to run the machine directly from a power socket. If you play on a court which has access to an AC power socket nearby you can use an AC adaptor to run the machine. The AC adaptor cannot be used to charge the battery and you will need a charger for that purpose. If you read the label on the back of the AC adaptor you will find OUTPUT =  15v 9.9A written as the power specification.
