In some cases, a machine may experience a bluetooth connection recovery issue when used with an Android device.

Symptom

The machine connects and operates normally at first. However, if the Android device moves out of bluetooth range, the connection may be lost and fail to recover correctly. The machine may no longer appear in the app and reconnection may not be possible.

A restart of the machine restores the bluetooth connection, after which the machine can be connected and used again.

How to recognise this issue

This issue is likely present if:

  • The machine is being used with an Android phone. This issue does not occur when using an iPhone.
  • The machine connects normally at first.
  • The connection is lost after the Android device moves out of range.
  • The machine disappears and cannot be reconnected, even when the phone is brought back close to the machine.
  • All other machine functions continue to operate normally, including the control panel and remote.
  • Restarting the machine causes the bluetooth connection to reappear.
  • The machine connects and operates normally again after restart.

Resolution

If this symptom pattern is confirmed, the board requires a bluetooth software upgrade.

Please contact your local distributor.  When contacting us or any of our distributors for support, please ensure that you inform us of all specific details about your machine including the serial number (which is located on the base of your machine, starts with BECXXXXXXXXXX), model & software version (a number shows on LCD when the machine turns on: M-x.x.x, H-x.x.x, V-x.x.x ) as well as a detailed description of the fault.
