You can lay your machine on its side, but take a few precautions to stop internal components from shifting and placing stress on parts.

Which side to use

Always lay the machine on its starboard side. This is the right-hand side when you are standing behind the machine and facing forward.

Before laying it down

  1. Power the machine off and disconnect power.
  2. Move the internal assembly all the way to the starboard side.

Our recommendation

While side storage is acceptable when needed, store the machine upright whenever possible. Upright storage minimizes wear and helps maintain alignment.
