    Power Configuration

Choosing the power configuration of your machine is a matter of personal preference, we have three great options to suit anyone’s needs! Here’s a quick look:

AC Power – machine plugs into a powerpoint
If your court has easy access to a powerpoint, this no battery machine allows for simple plug and play.

Internal Battery – machine has an internal battery
All-in-one machine, roll it on and off court with no external extras and plug in your machine to charge the battery.

External Battery – machine has an external battery pack
The machine is lighter as the battery is separate. This also allows for handy charging without moving your machine, great for leaving it in the car while you charge the battery.

You will have the option to pick a standard or lithium battery next, Here’s a table comparing the weights of the power options:

    Machine Weight
    External Battery Weight
    Total Combined Weight
AC Power 18 kg 18 kg
Internal Battery – Standard 24 kg 24 kg
Internal Battery – Lithium 20.3 kg 20.3 kg
External Battery – Standard 18 kg 6 kg 24 kg
External Battery – Lithium 18 kg 2.3 kg 20.3 kg

Overview

Introducing Spinfire Pro 2

We’ve taken the best all-round ball machine and made it even better.

Tennis ball machines are a fantastic way to practice and improve your game, regardless of your skill level. The Spinfire Pro 2 makes it easy to practice a wide range of shots, test yourself with a variety of paces, spins and elevations, and build your mobility and fitness with practice drills.

With a number of improvements over the original version, the Spinfire Pro 2 offers things you’d normally only find on a much more expensive machine. It includes internal movement, an easy-to-use control panel and remote control, and 150-ball capacity – all wrapped up in an extremely stylish and compact design.

Key features and benefits

Internal movement

Unlike most ball machines, which change the direction of the ball by moving the whole machine from side to side, the Spinfire Pro 2 moves internally. This allows for faster re-direction and makes shots less predictable. The internal parts are black to further disguise shot direction.

Random modes

With both horizontal and vertical random modes, balls can be delivered across the full width of the singles court with depth variation. The Spinfire Pro 2 can be set to deliver the same trajectory over and over or a variety of random trajectories. ‘Horizontal Random’ can be set to deliver balls across a narrow, medium or wide area. ‘Vertical Random’ delivers short or long balls in a random order. Both ‘Horizontal Random’ and ‘Vertical Random’ can be combined for a very realistic playing pattern.

Automatic Variation

New in 2023 is ‘Automatic Variation’, which can now be set to automatically adjust speed, spin and/or interval as you play for a more varied training session.

Two-line drills

This feature delivers alternating forehands and backhands. It can be set to ‘wide’, ‘medium’ or ‘narrow’ to vary the degree of difficulty. The ‘wide’ setting makes you run from side to side, ‘narrow’ allows you to remain in the middle of the court, while ‘medium’ is between the two. You can also set the timing between each ball.

Extreme topspin and slice capability

Using counter rotating wheels with enhanced traction for consistent ball launching, the Spinfire Pro 2 operates very quietly and can generate maximum topspin and slice if desired.

Extreme lob

Extreme lobs are rare to find in other ball machines on the market, but with 60° elevation, the Spinfire Pro 2 has no trouble serving up realistic lobs for repetitive practice, making them a breeze on game day.

Remote control

All functions can be controlled remotely, allowing the player to start or pause the machine and change functions without leaving their side of the court. New in 2023 is a feature coaches will love, ‘Single Ball Fire (SBF)’. It allows just a single ball to be fired at the press of a button, great for discussing execution with students or for testing specific settings.

Easy portability

Compact and lightweight, the Spinfire Pro 2 fits in the trunk of most cars. The hopper (ball basket) can be reversed to neatly cover the machine, and solid wheels and an extendable handle allow you to pull or push it almost anywhere.

Three power options

You can choose between our 3 power options, External Battery – machine with external battery pack, Internal Battery – internal built-in battery machine or AC Power – plug-in AC power option.

The External Battery machine is much lighter as the battery is separate, this also allows for handy charging without moving your machine, great for leaving it in the car while you charge the battery! The all-in-one option is our Internal Battery machine, you can simply plug in your machine to charge the battery. A fast charger is also available, cutting the charging time to just 3-4 hours! If your court has easy access to a powerpoint, the AC Power plug-in machine with no battery allows for simple plug and play. Check out the pictures below to see each of our machines!

More power options!

AC Adaptor
Add this to your order if you would like to run your Internal Battery or External Battery machines using electricity as well.

External Battery Pack
Add this to your order if you would like to expand your options and run your AC Power machine with a battery as well.
You can also add this to your order if you would like to double your playtime with an External Battery Pack to run your Internal Battery machine.

  1. Julian Swinstead

I bought this machine a week after a total knee replacement knowing that I would not get to use it for a while. Then Covid19 messed up our club play (all over 70 years). So I took the Spinfire to a back court with two mates. Setting the machine on WIDE each mate got alternating practice. Using the ball pickup devices no-one but i touched the balls. The practising mates stayed four metres apart and I sat next to the machine at the other end learning how to use it. It has been sensational and safe. All get a turn and love it. I am looking forward to my turn using it.

  2. Guy

I bought a spinfire 2 pro back in 2012. Happy to say the machine is still going and has been great. I am not a regular player though, so it gets used in fits and starts.
It has needing some spare parts. First, the adapter died. I converted with an adapter kit to AC power (I had an early model that had a slow charger and no AC). Converting to AC has worked well, as I have power near by to the court. It used to be really annoying to have the battery go flat and it took a day to charge. Now I am replacing the wheels that shoot out the balls. These wear out eventually. So the machine is not cheap to buy, and spare parts will be needed, but really it has been a good run given it’s age. Still recommend it if it will get used.

  3. Mike

Perfect and good practice for baseline hit.
Can anyone pls advise what’s the best set up for net/volley practice?

  4. Julian Swinstead

I have had a total knee replacement and won’t be using the machine for a couple of months.

  5. Anonymous

Great ball machine -lots of variety of shots – fully programmable

  6. TJ Davis

I bought this machine 2 months ago and it’s everything & more than promised on the website. I had an issue with an additional AC Adapter but the problem was taken care of immediately within minutes (Leon – You are awesome & thanks for everything)! The components are very durable, user interface intuitive, and the variance of balls delivered is minimal (They are sent exactly where you control them to be sent).

Spinfire seems to be a throwback to the old days where companies made great products and the service was the most important part of the sale. This was well worth the cost and I’ll be a customer for life.

  7. Peter Liu

Great design, lots of drill functions, better than the direct competitor product

  8. JM

Spinfire pro 2 is an excellent machine. Vertical and horizontal oscillation and two line drill allows for a great workout.

  9. Daniel

Very good training machine. Expensive but I don’t regret the purchase.
